Liz Hansen

Liz Hansen joins the team at CQHR from a long apprenticeship of 27 years in business in Blackwater and Emerald. Throughout these years there has been opportunity for growth and learning, mostly through an association with franchises  such as Repco Authorised Service, Network and Budget Rentals, Beagles Pizzas, RACQ, Tyrepower/Bridgestone, Battery World and Ampol.

Liz believes her most valuable expertise has been gained from the school of hard knocks and experience during those years, but backs this with some formal qualifications as well.  These include Cert IV in Frontline Management and Training and Assessment; and she is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management.  Her occupation as a Speech Pathologist prior to business ownership provided the groundwork for managing human behaviour.

Even prior to her professional career, her passion for leadership and teaching was evident in her qualifying as a Guide Leader at the age of eighteen.

Her sense of responsibility and commitment to community hasn’t faltered and has included an association with Rotary, Toy Library, Working Womens Network and a term as a councillor for Duaringa Shire Council.  Her other interests include creative writing, reading, crafts, yoga and making the most of her new home by the sea with regular walks on the beach.

As well as maintaining an active role in the administration of the family business, Liz is very excited to be included in the team at CQHR and hopes to bring some ground level, practical help to other people in business, especially in this dynamic region of Central Queensland.
